Terms of Service

Effective date: May 7, 2026

⚠ Not Medical or Insurance Advice

CoverCheck provides general information and estimates only. Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice, insurance advice, or a guarantee of coverage. Always verify coverage directly with your insurance provider and consult a licensed physician before making healthcare decisions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using doesinsurancecover.com or any associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

CoverCheck is an informational tool that provides:

  • General estimates of insurance coverage likelihood for various treatments based on publicly available formulary data
  • General information about prior authorization requirements and processes
  • Referrals to third-party telehealth providers and cash-pay healthcare services
  • Educational content about healthcare coverage topics

The Service is provided for informational purposes only. Coverage estimates are based on aggregated, publicly available data and may not reflect your specific plan, employer agreement, or current formulary status.

3. Not Medical or Insurance Advice

The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Coverage estimates provided by CoverCheck are statistical approximations based on historical and publicly available data. They are not guarantees of coverage and should not be relied upon as such.

The Service does not provide insurance advice. We are not licensed insurance brokers, agents, or advisors. Nothing on this site should be construed as a representation about what your insurance plan will or will not cover.

Always verify coverage, prior authorization requirements, and formulary status directly with your insurance provider before obtaining any treatment or filling any prescription.

4. Referral Relationships and Affiliate Disclosure

In compliance with FTC guidelines, CoverCheck discloses that we maintain referral and affiliate relationships with certain third-party healthcare providers, telehealth companies, and pharmacies displayed on this site.

We may receive compensation when you click on a referral link or complete a transaction with a referred provider. This compensation may influence which providers are featured or how they are ranked, but does not affect the accuracy of our coverage estimates.

We do not endorse any specific provider, and the inclusion of a provider on our site does not constitute a medical recommendation. You are solely responsible for evaluating and selecting any healthcare provider.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, COVERCHECK, ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses
  • Damages resulting from your reliance on coverage estimates or information provided by the Service
  • Damages resulting from insurance denials, prior authorization outcomes, or treatment decisions made based on information from the Service
  • Damages resulting from your interaction with any third-party provider referred through the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or any personal information stored therein

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

CoverCheck does not warrant that:

  • Coverage estimates are accurate, complete, or current
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Any results obtained from use of the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any referred provider will accept your insurance, provide the listed services, or meet your expectations

7. Third-Party Services

The Service contains links to and referrals for third-party websites and services. These third parties have their own terms of service, privacy policies, and practices. CoverCheck is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service.

Your interactions with third-party providers, including any healthcare services you receive, payments you make, or data you share, are solely between you and that provider. We are not a party to those transactions and bear no responsibility for their outcome.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CoverCheck and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your access to or use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your reliance on any coverage estimate, information, or referral provided by the Service
  • Your interaction with any third-party provider referred through the Service

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of CoverCheck or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.
